Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8200 Willow

June 13, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in the 8200 block of Willow about 9:45 a.m. on Saturday (June 11).

The victim, George William Edmond, Jr., 36, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Burton and M. Brady reported:

About 9:10 a.m., Mr. Edmond's wife answered a knock at the couple's door.  Two males, armed with pistols, then forced their way inside and demanded money.  One suspect went upstairs and confronted Edmond.  The two began fighting and Edmond was shot one time.  Both suspects then fled the residence.  Edmond pursued the two outside, where he was apparently shot at least once more.  He then collapsed on the porch of a residence across the street.

The suspects are described only as two black males.  One has braided hair with beads on the ends and a dark complexion.  The other is clean shaven with short hair and a medium brown complexion.  Witnesses reported seeing them flee in a grey four-door sedan.
