Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 15131 Alkay Street
June 16, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two females at 15131 Alkay Street about 2:45 a.m. today.
The 15-year-old victim, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 44-year-old victim, also of the above address, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Their identities are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Daignault and B. Chebret reported:
The male shooter, 43, told investigators he was at home when his daughter and wife attempted to attack him with knives. He stated he then shot them both in self-defense.
There are currently no charges filed in this incident. The investigation is continuing.
