Investigation into Man's Death at 8947 Westplace Drive
March 22, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the apparent suicide of a man found at 8947 Westplace Drive about 12:30 p.m. on Monday (March 21).
The man, Ramon G. Contreras, 41, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Turner and Officer J. Nguyen reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a welfare check call at the above address. Upon arrival, they made entry into the home and found Mr. Contreras deceased due to hanging. He recently reported his wife, Paula Contreras, 38, missing on March 17th. A subsequent investigation identified Mrs. Contreras as the woman found stabbed to death at 11800 Riceville School Road on March 16.
The investigation is continuing.
