Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 1511 Wirt Road


May 4, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 1511 Wirt Road about 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday (May 3).  

One male was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  A second male, Abraham Grimaldo, 21, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported by private vehicle to Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in an unknown condition.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Officers S. Overstreet and M. Arroyo reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the Sonic restaurant at the above address and found one male in the driver's seat of his vehicle with several gunshot wounds.  HFD paramedics pronounced him deceased.   Officers were then notified by Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center personnel of another gunshot wound victim (Grimaldo) brought to the hospital by two unknown acquaintances, who left without providing any information.  

Further investigation determined both males were likely shot in the same incident.  

The suspects are described only as Hispanic males,  One is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds and the other is about 6 feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds.
