Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2101 Hayes
May 17, 2016 - The fatal shooting of a man at 2101 Hayes about 4:40 p.m. on Monday (May 16) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
The identity of the deceased male is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The female shooter was not injured.
HPD Homicide Division Officers N. Sharp and K. Fregia reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address. Further investigation determined the female resident's ex-boyfriend kicked in the front door of her apartment and assaulted her. During the altercation, the female shot her ex-boyfriend, who died at the scene.
