Investigation into Fatal Crash at 2000 North Loop East


October 19, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 2000 North Loop East (North Interstate Highway 610 East) about 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday (October 18).  

The female victim, 62, was transported to Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.  Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Arnold and Officer K. Danson reported:  

A white Ford F-150, a red Dodge Ram and a red Nissan Frontier were traveling eastbound on the North Loop when the driver of the Dodge stopped due to traffic and was struck from behind by the Ford pickup.  The impact pushed the Dodge into the Nissan pickup truck.  The male driver, 64, and female passenger (victim) in the Dodge were transported to the hospital.  No others persons were reported to be injured.  

No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation is continuing.
