UPDATE: Suspect Wanted, Charged in Man's Death at 2200 Fannin


September 2, 2016 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the death of a man found in the 2200 block of Fannin about 2:50 a.m. on March 30, 2016.  

The suspect, Mario Lyndell Criss (b/m, 33), is charged with aggravated robbery-serious bodily injury in the 180th State District Court for his role in the death of Warren Bryan Hart, 43.  

A photo of suspect Criss is attached to this news release.  He is not in custody.

HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Arroyo and S. Overstreet reported:  

Patrol officers were flagged down by passers-by regarding an injured man (Mr. Hart) lying in the street.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and transported Hart, who had suffered severe head injuries, to Ben Taub General Hospital where he later died.  

Further investigation identified Criss as the suspect in this case and charges were filed against him today (Sept. 2).
