Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6300 Gulfton


September 26, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 6300 Gulfton about 7:15 p.m. on Thursday (September 22).  

The female victim, 36, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in critical condition.  Doctors pronounced her dead on Friday (September 23).  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Salazar and Officer D. Jones reported:  

A red Ford Mustang was traveling eastbound on Gulfton when an orange Chevrolet HHR, traveling westbound on Gulfton, failed to yield the right-of-way and made a left turn at the intersection of Westward.  The Ford then struck the Chevrolet.  The female front-seat passenger of the Ford (victim) was transported to the hospital.  The adult driver and juvenile passenger in the Ford were transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The driver of the Chevrolet, 23, who was determined not to be impaired, was questioned and released at the scene.  

No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
