UPDATE: Suspects Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 600 West Gulf Bank
September 26, 2016 - Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 600 West Gulf Bank Road at about 3:15 a.m. on September 17.
The suspects, Ivan Cardenas (H/m, 21) and Juan Negrete (H/m, 20), are charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court.
Both are accused in the killing of Jaime Rivera, 29, of Houston, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Senior Police Officer B. Evans reported:
Mr. Rivera was in a vehicle traveling on the North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) service road near West Gulf Bank Road when the vehicle was shot at and Rivera was struck. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Further investigation identified Negrete and Cardenas as suspects in this case. They were arrested on September 20 and 21, respectively, without incident.
