Investigation into Juvenile Found Deceased at 8825 Kempwood


February 9, 2017 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a juvenile found at 8825 Kempwood at about 10 a.m. on Wednesday (February 8).  

The identity of the juvenile, 14, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Lieutenant J. McGalin and Senior Police Officer D. Arnold reported:  

The male was reported missing by his family at about 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 8).  Several hours later, the family was notified the male was found asleep at the soccer fields near the above address.  Employees of the school, as well as family members, went to the location and found the male unresponsive.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced him deceased.  There were no immediate signs of trauma found on the male. 

The investigation is pending the male's cause of death.
