Investigation into Male Found Deceased at 3700 Gulf Freeway


January 4, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man found at 3700 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 10:50 a.m. today (January 4).  

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer D. Henley reported:  

A passer-by found the victim in a grassy area at the above address.  Paramedics pronounced the male deceased.  
Investigators believe that, at some time overnight, the victim was driving a truck northbound on the Gulf Freeway when, for unknown reasons, it appears he parked the vehicle.  It is believed as he was walking on the side of the freeway, he was struck by an unknown vehicle.  

A preliminary investigation revealed the truck was towed from the freeway about 5:30 a.m. today.

At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
