Investigation into Shooting of Male at 1900 Dolly Wright
January 17, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile male at 1900 Dolly Wright about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 15).
The victim, Devontre Weasby, 16, of Houston, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Miller and Officer C. Elder reported:
The victim was involved in a fight earlier in the day with another male (suspect) known only as "Lil Tony." After the fight, the victim and suspect shook hands and departed separately. While home, the victim received a phone call from one of the suspect's relatives asking if he wanted to fight again. The victim stated he did not. He then ran an errand with his brother. As he returned home, the victim saw the suspect riding a horse on the side of the roadway on Dolly Wright. At that time, the suspect turned around and fired several shots at the victim before fleeing. Paramedics were called and transported the victim to the hospital.
