Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting of Man at 6320 Windswept #604

June 26, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 6320 Windswept #604 about 1 a.m. on Sunday (June 25).

The suspect, Tomas Gonzalez-Turquiz (H/m, 24), is charged with two counts of aggravated assault in the 178th State District Court and one count of assault of a family member in Harris County Criminal Court #9 for his role in the wounding of Carlos Ramos, 33.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Dodson and Officers J. Roberts and A. Ferrell reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at an apartment at the above address and located Mr. Ramos with a gunshot wound to his head.  Paramedics transported Ramos to an area hospital in stable condition. While on scene, Gonzalez-Turquiz was located and taken into custody.  He was subsequently charged in the incident.
