Update: Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 13350 Almeda Road


March 14, 2017 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 13350 Almeda Road about 3:15 p.m. on Monday (March 13).

The suspects are described only as four young, adult black males and are believed to have fled the scene is a light blue or silver Chrysler 200.  Surveillance video of the suspects can be viewed on the HPD YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/FO3961sWAhM.  Surveillance photos of the suspects are attached to this news release. 

The victim, Bobby Garcia, 38, of Houston, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
HPD Homicide Division Officers D. Williamson and K. Ferguson reported:

Mr. Garcia and a convenience store employee were exciting the store at the above address when when they were shot by men burglarizing a vehicle parked in front of the store.  At this time, it appears there was no confrontation between the burglars and the victims, nor was any warning given.  It also does not appear the victims knew the burglars.  

Garcia died at the hospital.  The store employee was also transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive.
