Investigation into Male Found Fatally Shot at 9619 Elmview Place

May 30, 2017 - HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 9619 Elmview Place about 7 a.m. on Monday (May 29).

The victim is identified as Rafael Reyes, of the above address. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer M. Condon reported:

A friend of the victim told police he found Mr. Reyes in his bedroom.  He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Investigators learned Reyes' roommate committed suicide on Saturday (May 27) and are investigating the roommate's involvement in Reyes' death.  It is unknown, at this time, when Reyes was shot.  Investigators will await results of an autopsy to help determine his estimated time of death.
