Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 7600 East Houston


November 6, 2017 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 7600 East Houston about 10:45 p.m. last Friday (Nov. 3).

The suspect, Barbara Senagal (b/f, 45), is charged with murder in the  184th State District Court.  A photo of Senegal is attached to this news release.

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers B. Roberts and S. Jimenez reported:

The victim and Senagal were at the victim's apartment at the above address when they got into an argument.  During the argument, Senagal pulled a knife and fatally stabbed the victim once in the chest.

Senagal initially gave conflicting statements to investigators, but eventually admitted to her role in stabbing the victim and hiding the knife to alter the scene before officers arrived.  She was subsequently taken into custody and charged.
