UPDATE #2:  Second Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 4800 Martin Luther King Boulevard

Charges have been filed against a second suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 4800 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 11:30 p.m. on February 25.  

The most recent suspect, Ketrell Beasley (b/m, 17), is charged with murder in the 351st State District Court.  A previous suspect, Kevon Latreal Mills (b/m, 17), is also charged with murder in the same court.  Both are accused in the killing of Cornelius Jackson, 20, who was pronounced deceased at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:  

Mr. Jackson was standing in a parking lot at the above address when he got into an altercation with an unknown male suspect.  During the altercation, Jackson was shot.  HFD paramedics transported him to the hospital.  

Further investigation identified Mills as a suspect in this case and he was taken into custody on March 27 without incident.  The second suspect, Beasley, was subsequently charged today (April 23) for his role in the incident.
