Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5200 Washington Avenue
April 2, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 5200 Washington Avenue about 9:30 p.m. last Thursday (March 29).
The identity of the male victim, 27, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Williams and Officer J. Crisler reported:
The victim walked into a moving lane of traffic on Washington Avenue and was struck by a silver Hyundai Santa Fe. The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on Saturday (March 31). The driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene, was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
