Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6298 Dixie Drive

August 13, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one male and wounding of another at 6298 Dixie Drive about 12:05 a.m. on Sunday (August 12).  

The identity of the deceased victim, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  The second male, also 35, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the left shoulder and left leg and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in an unknown condition.  

HPD Homicide Division Detectives I. Ulloa and B. Roberts reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the Las Chamacas nightclub parking lot at the above address and found one male deceased and a second male with gunshot wounds.  HFD paramedics transported the wounded male to the hospital.  

Further investigation determined both males were inside their vehicle when they were shot by unknown suspects.  A witness stated after the gunshots were heard, a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Ford Explorer, was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed.  

At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
