Investigation into Shooting at 5500 Pine

December 13 2018 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 5500 Pine about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday (December 12).  

The victim, Juan Orozco, 17, was transported to an area hospital where doctors expect him to survive.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers K. Saulsberry and M. Combs reported:  

Mr. Orozco and four friends were walking near the above address when a vehicle, described as a silver Nissan 370Z, pulled up next to them.  The front right passenger then fired shots from inside the vehicle at Orozco and his friends.  Orozco was struck in the left leg.  He was then transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital.  No other persons were injured in the shooting.

The suspects are described only as two Hispanic males, 17 to 20 years of age.
