Investigation into Shooting at 3341 Windbern

July 6, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of three men at 3341 Windbern about 3:40 p.m. on Saturday (July 7).  

One victim, James Harris, 34, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.  Two other victims, Michael Staley, 40, and Jarod Jackson, 24, were transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults/Family Violence Division Detectives K. Clark and J. Pickett reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the Scott Food Store at the above address and found three men (Harris, Staley and Jackson) had been shot.  All three men were transported by private vehicle to the hospital.  According to witnesses, unknown suspects pulled up to the front of the food store in a burgundy Buick sedan, with temporary license plates, and fired shots from inside the vehicle.  The suspects then fled the scene headed northbound on Tierwester toward Holman Street.  

At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
