Investigation into Stabbing Incident at 7600 Creekbend Drive

Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man at 7600 Creekbend Drive about 1 a.m. today (May 15).

The victim, Joshua DeWayne Johnson, 29, was transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds.

HPD Major Assaults Unit Detectives L. Kauffman and A. Hernandez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a reported assault at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found Mr. Johnson had already been transported to the hospital for treatment of his wounds.  The suspects had fled the scene.

At the hospital, investigators learned Johnson had been stabbed, beaten and bitten.  He told investigators he was assaulted by a family member and her boyfriend.

Investigators are currently seeking to interview both individuals about any role they may have had in this incident.

There are no charges in this incident, as the investigation is continuing.
