Suspect Arrested, Charged in Assault at 4250 West 34th Street

November 13, 2018 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in an assault at 4250 West 34th Street about 12:30 a.m. on  November 8.  

The suspect, Henry Dobbins (b/m, 40), is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 228th State District Court.  Dobbins suffered stab wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.  A Harris County Sheriff's Office booking photo of Dobbins is attached to this news release.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Williams and V. Habukiha reported:  

Dobbins went to an apartment complex of a known male acquaintance at the above address and asked to buy a cigarette.  Dobbins then produced a pistol and told everyone in the apartment to get on the ground.  The male then got into a struggle with Dobbins.  During the struggle, the male's girlfriend, 18, stabbed Dobbins at least twice.  Other witnesses present assisted in disarming Dobbins and held him at the scene until police arrived.  He was taken into custody and transported by Houston Fire Department paramedics to be treated for his injuries.  

The investigation is continuing.
