Investigation into Fatal Crash at 5002 Westheimer

November 15, 2018 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 5002 Westheimer about 2 p.m. on Wednesday (November 14).

The identity of the male victim, 50, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer M. Mathews reported:

The victim was driving a gray Toyota Highlander when he entered the parking lot at the above address.  It is believed he may have suffered a medical episode and drove into a parked silver Nissan Sentra, which was unoccupied at the time.  The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The damage to the Nissan was minor and no other injuries or damage was reported.

The investigation is continuing.
