Investigation into Shooting Incident at 8426 Hammerly
October 8, 2018 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a juvenile at 8426 Hammerly about 8:20 p.m. last Friday (October 5).
The female victim, Adriana Ruiz, 12, suffered a gunshot wand was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer B. Salazar reported:
Ms. Ruiz was inside her mother's apartment at the above address when an unknown white or Hispanic male began shooting at the apartment from the parking lot. Ruiz was struck in the abdomen. The suspect fled the scene.
