Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting Incident at 7812 Tierwester Street

April 8, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male at 7812 Tierwester Street about 6:20 p.m. last Friday (April 5).  

The suspect, Richard Spiller, 28, is charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 263rd State District Court.  A photo of Spiller is not available at this time.

The victim, 8, was transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Barker and M. Combs reported:  

At least three people and an unknown suspect got into an argument over children.  Later, the suspect returned to the scene and shooting at, but not striking, the three individuals.  The child was struck by gunfire as he stood outside the residence with his family and other witnesses.  The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting.  

Further information led to the identification of Spiller as the suspected shooter in this case and he was subsequently charged with shooting the child and shooting at the three individuals.
