Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8100 Leonora Street
August 5, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one male and the wounding of another at 8100 Leonora Street about 4:30 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 3).
The identity of the deceased victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The second male was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives T. Colbert and R. Ridel reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the roadway at the above address and found two males with gunshot wounds inside of a vehicle. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the vehicle deceased at the scene. The other male was transported to the hospital.
Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots. At this time, there is no known suspect(s) or motive in the shooting.
