Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4100 Collingsworth Street

August 5, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 4100 Collingsworth Street about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday (Aug. 3).

The identity of the deceased victim, 35, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  The second male was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants M. Brady and M. Casso reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at a gas station at 3013 Collingsworth Street and found one man deceased with multiple gunshot wounds in the front seat of a red vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle had a gunshot wound to the arm.  He told investigators he was stopped at a red light at the above address when an unknown vehicle pulled up next to his car.  A suspect(s) in the vehicle then fired shots, striking both victims.  The suspects then fled the scene.
