Suspect Arrested, Charged in Shooting at 9322 Neff Street

August 9, 2019 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the shooting of a man that occurred at 9322 Neff Street about 7:50 p.m. on Thursday (Aug. 8).

The suspect, Junqiawg Zhang (A/m, 50) is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 183rd State District Court.  A booking photo of Zhang is not available at this time.

The victim, 50, was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Senior Police Officer S. Laird reported:

Zhang was assaulted by the victim and other neighbors following a verbal argument at a residence at the above address.  Zhang then left the location, retrieved a handgun and returned and shot the victim in the head.  The victim and Zhang were transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
