Investigation into Shooting at 8200 Canyon Street
August 14, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 8200 Canyon Street about 3 p.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 13).
The victim, Jonathan Rashard Fortenberry, 18, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer A. Le reported:
Mr. Fortenberry and a suspect were walking down the street at the above address when the suspect asked Fortenberry to look at something in the bushes. At that time, Fortenberry was shot multiple times and the suspect fled the scene. Bystanders who heard the gunshots assisted Fortenberry before paramedics arrived.
