Update: Surveillance Video Released in Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7313 Northline Drive

August 22, 2019 - Houston police have released surveillance video related to the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of a woman that occurred at 7313 Northline Drive about 2:50 p.m. on August 3.

The male victim, Michael Lee, Jr., 28, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The female victim, Regen Hayward-Orange, 35, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Patterson and M. Arrington reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address.  Witnesses stated a black male suspect wearing a white or gray hooded coat, with a black or white shirt covering his face, started shooting in the breezeway before entering an apartment and shooting Mr. Lee multiple times and Ms. Hayward-Orange one time in the abdomen. 

The suspect fled on foot through the courtyard.  Paramedics pronounced Lee deceased at the scene and transported Ms. Hayward-Orange to the hospital. 

Surveillance video shows a man, possibly matching the suspect's description, entering a nearby convenience store.  He purchased a canned drink and then left.
