Investigation into Shooting at 7651 Gulfton Street
January 22, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man and a woman that occurred at 7651 Gulfton Street about 4 p.m. on Thursday (January 17).
The female victim, Silvia Becerra, 46, was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening wound. The male victim, Roni R. Gomez, 30, was treated at the scene.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers M. Combs and A. Barker reported:
Ms. Becerra, Mr. Gomez, and two other adult males, 36 and 38, were in the parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address when they got into an argument with a someone they knew. That individual then produced a pistol and fired several shots in the direction of the group, all of whom were running away. Becerra and Gomez were wounded by the gunfire. The suspect, believed to be a tenant of the complex, fled the scene in his vehicle.
