Update: Victim Deceased, Charges Upgraded in Fatal Shooting at 10440 South Drive

January 29, 2019 - Houston police have learned a male wounded in a shooting at 10440 South Drive about 2 a.m. on Monday (January 28) has died.  As a result, charges have been upgraded against the suspect.

The suspect, Edwin Isaac Aguila (w/m, 23), is now charged with murder in the 232nd State District Court.  A booking photo of Aguila is attached to this news release.

Aguila is accused in the shooting of Osmen Mar, 18, who was pronounced deceased later in the day. 

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence reported:

Mr. Mar, who was intoxicated, was visiting his girlfriend at the above address and got angry when she asked him to leave.  Mar began breaking windows and damaging his girlfriend's vehicle.  She then called Aguila, her ex-boyfriend with whom she has a child with.  Aguila then drove to the location, showed Mar a gun and fired one shot, striking him in the head.  Aguila was arrested at the scene.
