July 22, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 301 Benmar Street #125 about 3:15 a.m. on Sunday (July 21).  

The victim, Angel Ortiz, 24, of the above address, was transported to Houston Northwest Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detective J. Escobar reported:  

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a person down call at the above address and found Mr. Ortiz in his bedroom with at least one gunshot wound to the head.  Paramedics transported him to the hospital.  

At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect(s).
