July 24, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men at 9600 Beechnut Street about 3 p.m. on Tuesday (July 23). 

The victims, Louis Rogers, 26, and Kisia Mahmoud, 33, were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Senior Police Officer S. Laird reported:  

Mr. Rogers was walking along the sidewalk at the above address when he was shot in the leg by an unknown suspect.  Mr. Mahmoud was also struck by the gunfire.  The suspect fled on foot prior to officers arriving on scene.  Paramedics transported both victims to the hospital.  

The suspect is described only as possibly a black juvenile male.
