Investigation into Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash at 3500 McHard Road
July 19, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 3500 McHard Road about 9:35 p.m. on Thursday (July 18).
The male victim, 72, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer J. Crisler reported:
The victim was walking southbound, not in a crosswalk, across McHard Road when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling eastbound. The driver fled the scene.
