Investigation into Shooting Incident at 9217 Levering Lane
March 5, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 9217 Levering Lane about 7 p.m. on Monday (March 4).
The victim, Raul Zarazua Mendoza, 45, of the above address, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening wounds.
HPD Major Assaults and Family Violence Division Detectives A. Le and L. Bolmanski reported:
Mr. Mendoza and his family were inside their home at the above address. He was sleeping on the couch while his wife and son were in another room getting ready for bed. Someone entered the home through the backdoor and shot Mendoza one time. The unknown suspect then fled.
