Missing Child Investigation at 16535 Southwest Freeway

May 5, 2019 - Houston police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a child possibly taken by three unknown males in north Houston and last seen in the 16500 block of the Southwest Freeway (South U.S. Highway 59) service road about 9 p.m. on Saturday (May 4).

The child is identified as Maleah Davis, 5.  Photos of her obtained by investigators are attached to this news release. 

Maleah was wearing a pink bow in her hair, a light blue zip jacket, blue jeans and gray/white/pink sneakers.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn, Detective K. McDonald and Officer J. Escobar reported:

Maleah Davis was last seen somewhere near State Highway 6 and the Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land, Texas, by her stepfather who stated Maleah was taken by three Hispanic males in their 30s, driving a 2010 blue Chevrolet crew cab pickup truck. 

The motive in the kidnapping incident and its original north Houston location are unknown at this time.  Investigators have been interviewing family members throughout the morning.
