Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6200 Gulf Freeway
May 6, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6200 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 8:35 p.m. on Sunday (May 6).
The identity of the male victim, 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer R. Singleton reported:
The driver of a white BMW X1 was traveling southbound on the Gulf Freeway when she struck the victim, who was walking on the main lanes of the freeway. The victim died at the scene. The female driver of the BMV remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was released.
The investigation is continuing.
