Investigation into Shooting at 7800 Amelia Road

May 9, 2019 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 7800 Amelia Road about 11:55 p.m. on Sunday (May 5). 

The victim, Emerson Parada, 28, was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition. 

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers G. Black and A. Hernandez reported: 

HPD patrol officers initially responded to a shooting call at 2001 Wirt Road and found a male (Mr. Parada) had been shot multiple times.  

A preliminary investigation determined Parada was walking on the sidewalk near the above address when a dark-colored, four door vehicle, possibly a Honda, pulled up near him and unknown suspects fired shots from inside the vehicle.  Parada was struck and then ran to a convenience store in the 2000 block of Wirt Road where he collapsed. 

Witnesses provided medical assistance to Parada and then moved him back to 7800 Amelia Road, where they called 9-1-1.  HFD paramedics transported him to the hospital. 

The suspects in the vehicle are described only as two Hispanic males and two Hispanic females.
