HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers B. Salazar and A. Williams reported:

Constante and Mr. Vasquez, in a dating relationship for over two years, were arguing at a strip mall parking lot at the above address.  They were arguing over a flower Constante received from someone else.  The glass vase was broken on the ground near where the two were arguing.  Constante picked up a piece of the glass vase and used it to cut Vasquez across the left side of his neck.  Vasquez received a four-inch laceration that cut the artery in his neck.  He was transported to an area hospital where he is expected to survive.

Constante was arrested at the scene without incident.
