Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10200 Gulf Freeway
September 20, 2019 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 10200 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) about 6:25 a.m. today (Sept. 20).
The identity of the male victim, 29, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Senior Police Officer L. Ho reported:
The driver of a red Ford Taurus was traveling southbound on the Gulf Freeway when the victim, a pedestrian, attempted to run across the lanes of traffic and was struck by the Taurus. The driver of a grey Ford Focus then struck the victim, lost control and struck the concrete barrier. A third driver, in a white Audi Q5, also struck the pedestrian. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. All three drivers remained at the scene, were questioned and released.
