Suspects Arrested, Charged in Incident at 1655 Witte Street

December 7, 2020 - Charges have been filed against one woman and two men arrested in a kidnapping incident at 1655 Witte that was reported about 3 p.m. on Sunday (December 6).

Two suspects, Stephanie Hernandez (H/f, 30) and Jacob Braughton (H/m, 22), are charged with unlawful restraint in Harris County Criminal Court #9.  The third suspect, Moises Garcia (H/m, 23), is charged with felon in possession of a weapon in the 185th State District Court.  Photos of the suspects are not available at this time.

The male victim, Christian Vega, 24, was not injured in the incident. 

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer C. Johnson reported:

Mr. Vega stated he was held against his will in his apartment at the above address by three suspects.  Vega stated the suspects threatened him with a gun and would not allow him to leave his apartment for four days.  Eventually, he was able to escape and call police.

During the course of the investigation, Hernandez, Braughton and Garcia were identified as suspects and arrested for their roles in the case.
