Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 200 East 44th Street

February 17, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male that occurred at 200 East 44th Street about 10 p.m. last Friday (February 14). 

The identity of the victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Daignault, M. Brady and M. Miller and Detective M. Arrington reported: 

Officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim lying in the street.  He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene. 

A dark blue, 1990s model, Toyota four-door sedan was seen pulling up next to the victim with two black male suspects inside.  The passenger then fired several shots at the victim, striking him.  The vehicle then fled northbound on North Main Street.
