Investigation into Shooting at 5900 Selinsky Road

November 16, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a male at 5900 Selinsky Road that occurred about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday (November 14).

The victim, Jaquease Banks, 27, was transported to an area hospital.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers A. Ferrell and C. Bowling reported:

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address after Mr. Banks began banging on an apartment door and saying he had been shot.  The resident inside, who did not know Banks, called 9-1-1.  Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported Banks to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his hip and thigh.

Evidence at the scene indicated the shooting occurred in the parking lot of the complex.  There is no known suspect(s) or motive at this time.
