Investigation into Shooting at 1734 Egypt Street

October 6, 2020 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 1734 Egypt Street that occurred about 4:20 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 5).

The victim, Craig White, 42, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer K. Saulsberry reported:

Mr. White was at a park at the above address with family members when he was shot.  Family members stated they heard a pop and saw White sitting on a bench and bleeding from the side of his head.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to the hospital.

Further investigation revealed White had several bags of a possible narcotic substance on his person when he was shot.

At this time, there are no known suspects.
