August 2, 2021 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6900 Telephone Road that occurred about 5:10 a.m. on Saturday (July 31).  

The identity of the male victim, a pedestrian, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer M. Mathews reported:  

A white Dodge Charger was traveling northbound on Telephone Road and struck the victim, who was crossing Telephone Road, not in a marked crosswalk.  The driver of the Charger did not stop to provide medical assistance and fled the scene.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

A preliminary investigation indicated the pedestrian may have been struck by multiple vehicles.
