August 17, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man at 3100 Anita Street about 11:20 a.m. today.  

The victim, 29, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.  

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Johnson and S. Hall reported:  

The victim stated he and his friend were walking down the street near the above address when he heard gunshots from an unknown location.  The victim was then struck in the right calf by gunfire.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.  

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect description.
