Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 200 North Carolina Street

February 2, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 200 North Carolina Street about 12:30 p.m. on Monday (February 1).

The identity of the victim, believed to be in his late teens, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Fregia and D. Higgs reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found the victim lying in a vacant lot.  He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased by Houston Fire Department paramedics.  

At this time, there is no known suspect(s) nor motive.
