January 4, 2021 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal crash at 6000 Glen Lee Drive about 5:45 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 3).

The suspect, Eliud Isael Martinez Sanchez (H/m, 35), is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 184th State District Court.  A booking photo of Sanchez, who is hospitalized, is not available at this time.

The identity of the female victim, 36, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rodriguez and Officer H. Nguyen reported:

Martinez Sanchez was driving a gray GMC Yukon westbound at the above address when he failed to drive in a single lane and drove into a ditch.  The GMC then struck the driveway of a residence, causing the truck to flip onto the driver's side. 

The female passenger in the GMC was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Martinez Sanchez was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.  He was determined to be intoxicated and was subsequently charged in this incident.
